The result is often pain and discomfort in the jaw, neck, and head. Additionally, the health of your teeth is at risk as they are harder to clean and floss properly.
Every dental case is different, and we will need to see you for a personalised consultation, but as a general rule you have two main options available to you:
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain Veneers are ultra-thin, custom-made porcelain laminates that are bonded directly to the teeth. Veneers will allow us to transform the size, shape, position and colour of your teeth.
Orthodontics/Invisalign
These invisible aligners will move your natural teeth into the correct position and bite. If you are happy with the size, shape and physical appearance of your teeth, then this is an ideal option.
How long is treatment?
- Porcelain Veneers – 4-6 weeks
- Orthodontics/Invisalign – individual cases may vary, average time 12-18 months
How long does it last?
- Porcelain Veneers – 10 to 20+ years
- Orthodontics/Invisalign – Lifetime retention
The reality is many dental procedures cause discomfort of differing levels depending on the type and severity of the procedure.
Our priority is to ensure you are as comfortable as possible throughout all procedures. We also offer the option of sedation if you would prefer to sleep during treatment due to nerves or lengthy appointments.

Case study
Porcelain veneers (8 front teeth)
Lydia had crooked teeth and wanted a quick solution that was also aesthetically pleasing. Typically for case like this a treatment like Invisalign would be used. However, Lydia works in an industry where braces or aligners are an unappealing option, and wouldn’t necessarily provide the exact end-goal she was after, we went with a faster, more aesthetically appealing option.
